Blogging Tips for the jadedI love the blogging community and I am very grateful for the great advice published by so many people. In the lead up to ProBlogger and at the conference itself, I know that I am going to come across even more advice.

But there are times when my inner cynic tends to come out. Sometimes “blogging rules” are much like “parenting rules” – you cannot follow them all as they contradict each other and their generalist nature doesn’t actually suit your particular baby. Also, sometimes the advice is crap. So I thought I’d write my own list of (firmly tongue in cheek) blogging advice.

Reflection funnies

As a part of reflecting this month, I started to think about some of the funny things that have happenedĀ over the last little while. I hope they give you a chuckle too.

Funny thing 1:

Husband was unpacking the shopping recently and put an economy size box of condoms (24 to be exact) on the bench.

Me: “Holy moly hun, we’ve got enough to last us through the next few years there.”

Seriously if looks could kill, I would have dropped dead there.

I am not new to blogging, but I am new to the concept of growing readership, caring about stats and dreaming some big bloggy dreams. This means I am also new to the blogging community, link-ups, blogging courses and the general blog subculture. Whenever I participate, I feel like one of those “long time listener, first time caller” types. And as I first time caller, I have made some slip ups.
